How to Create Sitemap for Blogger and Submit to Google Webmaster Tools

This is very important when you have created your first website now it is visible to you only. You have to submit it to Google through Google sitemap. It helps Google and other search engine to index your website pages. Blogger is beginner part of your website development. It is created in HTML codding. If you know the basic of HTML you can proper add gadget to your layout in your own way. 

What is sitemap?

Site map is nothing more than indexing your webpages. It helps Google and other search engines to know about your webpages like crawling and indexing. As you are new Blogger you have to create your first site map and upload it. It is because whenever you make any post Google may crawl and index your post in search engine easily. I'll teach you here how to create your sitemap for blogger and how to upload it for proper indexing.

Sitemap Creating for Blogger

It is very easy to create your blogger sitemap. First of all copy your blogger web address. Blogger sitemap is created in XML paste your web address here, and click on generate sitemap. Your sitemap for blogger will be created and it shows like this picture below:

Add Google Sitemap in Custom robots.txt

This is called Google Webmaster Tools it also refer crawling and indexing. Now sign in your blogger blog and go to setting and then click on search preferences then you'll see in next window Custom robots.txt click on edit. It show you disable when you click on edit in drop box paste above mention sitemap text in this box click enable and save it. Blow I post a picture you may clear your mind on this process:

Now all you have done. The next process is upload this sitemap in Google Search Console. Above picture in which you have saved sitemap in robots.txt you see Google Search Console line click on edit. You'll move to another webpage which is called Google Webmaster Tools. Add your blog (property) and submit it. Now go to blog dashboard click on crawl and then sitemaps follow this picture:

Test and Submit Sitemap

Here you have to submit sitemap text (atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500) just before the blog address and click on test if you want to test whether your are doing the right or just click on submit. After submission of your sitemap Google will start indexing your webpages and it appear in this window box as you have seen in above mention picture. How much you have submitted and how many posts have been indexed.

Last but not least, Google Webmaster Tools is easy way to index your content for better result in search engines. A lot of other work can be done by this webmaster tool like search appearance structured data, data highlighter and HTML improvement. You may also know about your traffic, change your target country and language. You may also check if there is any error on webpage loading like crawl errors.
