This feature can also be used by users who do not have a Facebook account and have Messenger.

Facebook, the most popular social networking site, has introduced the 'Messenger Rooms' feature in comparison to the video conferencing app 'Zoom'.

According to the news agency, Facebook has introduced a new feature 'Messenger Rooms' keeping in mind the needs of the users during the lockdown in which 50 people can video chat at a time. The special feature of this service is that the chat can include people who do not have a Facebook account and do not have to have a messenger.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg told AFP
Messenger rooms can be used on computers as well as mobile phones and users can video chat with their friends and family members at any time.

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's chief executive, told AFP about the new chat service, saying the app would be open on a computer or phone, adding a video chat invitation link to a video chat. The chances of a stranger joining a video chat are nil.

Mark Zuckerberg added that in the absence of a Facebook or Messenger app for video chat, the 'invite link' will automatically open in the browser, adding users who do not have a Facebook or Messenger account to join the video chat.

Lockdown due to the Corona virus has led to an increase in internet usage, while the trend of working from home instead of offices has increased exponentially and the use of 'Zoom App' has also increased. Introduces video chat conferencing that will be available to users by next week.
